Despite what your mapping system may say, Fire Island is not accessible by car. You can only get here via the ferry from Bay Shore to Ocean Bay Park - and that's part of what makes the island so special. No traffic jams!

If traveling by train, take the LIRR to the Bay Shore stop. Trains transfer at either Jamaica or Babylon. There is a van service to the ferries which meets each train for $5. per person. No call necessary. For more information about fares and schedules, please visit http://lirr42.mta.info.  

Be sure to take the ferry from Bay Shore, NY to Ocean Bay Park. Please refer to http://www.fireislandferries.com for all information pertaining to the ferries schedule information, driving directions and parking information. On holiday weekends, leave plenty of lead time for traffic and parking.

The ferry usually makes 2 stops, first at Seaview and then Ocean Bay Park. When you exit the ferry, go straight to Bayview Ave, make a left and The Seashore Condo Hotel is about 400 feet down on your right.
